NYTimes Letters: On Raising Children Outside of Marriage



Illustrated for NY Times letters, on the subject of the difficulties of single parenthood (particularly for women struggling economically). I was glad to be asked to illustrate for this conversation, as I have a particular passion about resolving this issue in America. Thanks to Nathan Huang for the assignment!

New Year News and Ensign Magazine

It's 2014! Hope everyone has started their new year off
wonderfully, well rested from the Holidays:).


A lot of happenings here at the studio, a couple children's book projects with
Kids Can Press and Star Bright books in the works, as well as news of new representation for 
simoneshin.com in 2014 from Kelly Sonnack at Andrea Brown Literary Agency! Excited to work with such a wonderful and established children's book agency (and agent)!...and to see what exciting projects await this year! Hope everyone has a productive and exciting 2014:)!

5280 Mag, New York Times Opt. Ed, Wired Magazine




Some new work above: an illustration for 5280 Magazine about Colorado's rivers being affected by drought, an Opt Ed Illustration for NY Times about home flood insurance, and Illustration for Wired Magazine about the upcoming new TVs coming out-and the overwhelmed consumer.  Really enjoyed all illustrations, especially the Opt Ed piece.
