I was asked to have "Knitting with Mouse" used in Literacyhead's "Art of Teaching Words" feature-- to teach high frequency words (in Mouse's case, it's "Find"!). As a teacher and an artist, I'm so happy to have work that serves an educational purpose...
Literacyhead.com--an online collection of original lessons, tools and resources geared toward literacy educators--artists and educators combine forces to make learning a fun and educational experience for children--both in visual/textual literacy and the arts!
I will be showing 2 pieces in this show, Oct. 4th through Nov. 1st. up in Nor Cal at the LH Horton Jr. Gallery.
(preview of one piece, below entitled: Interesting Sounds for the Sake of Interesting Sounds)
The exhibition are pieces that interpret written word (literature, poetry)--will be great show! Please feel free to catch the exhibition if you are in the area...
Here's a little preview of the group show I'm in at Majestic Gallery--now with the extended show date of thru August. Two out of three of my pieces are shown on the left! Some really great artwork overall, if you have time please stop by to view the show and winners.

So thankful to the judges for choosing my bloody meat...
Also,
I made some business cards that came in (a 1st for me) and did this zebra book image for Society of Killustrators! I also fiddled around with an image, thinking of a CD cover idea for Forest Sun. Thanks Pandora for always being in the background while I doodle:)
Did an illustration recently for INC Magazine's July issue- about video conferencing products for different devices- good to work with Sarah G. on this:)
Also, I will be showing these 3 pieces at a group show at Majestic Gallery's National Show, opening night June 29th, 2012!
A small scale version of my piece {Do Not Disturb the Mountain} is in a group show called the Patchbox Project at the Cargo space in Rome, Italy-showing from May through August, 2012. Molto bene!
This was really cool.
Thanks to Jennifer Barnes for including me on this beautifully curated site, I highly recommend checking it out... I can scroll through this for hours, it's an amazing collection!

Experimenting with more graphic elements. This one's called "Trimmin' the fat". Big corporation's decisions to make up for profit loss by cutting out thousands of workers. A bloody mess!
